Max Ostro, or Maksim Ostroumov (/ˈmaʔks ˈɒsʧroʊ/, русск. Макс Остроумов [ˈmaks ɐstrɐˈuməf]) — a musician, well-known guitarist, author of a popular YouTube channel. A laureate of various international contests. A D'Addario, Swiss Picks, VegaTrem, ADV.Sound and Ibanez Guitars artist. An artist of the world's largest guitar platform JTC Guitar (UK). Max Ostro participated in a British album project called ANYWHEREDOOR along w Guthrie Govan, Bumblefoot, Mattias IA Eklundh and others.

Max was around 10 years old when he decided to learn to play the guitar. The future musician came to a music studio for his first lesson with an old Soviet guitar, one string missing. There he learned a few common chords to play simple songs. Initially Max was mastering the art using chord schemes and tabs, but at some point he began studying in more depth, doing ear-training, reading sheet music and learning to improvise.

In 2018, Max Ostro was invited to participate in the first D'Addario Guitar Festival (part of the NAMM Musikmesse Russia music exhibition in Moscow) by Julia Rynkova, D'Addario representative in Russia. There he was also noticed by Ibanez Guitars.

The biggest influences on Max Ostro's guitar playing style are Nick Johnston, Guthrie Govan, Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons, Chris Buck, Jack Gardiner, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal, Greg Howe, Frank Gambale, Robben Ford, Bireli Lagrene, Armik and others.
