"And my grandparents would take me every summer to their dacha in the taiga forest surrounding the city of Irkutsk in which I was born half Tatar half Russian on June 9th in the 21st century, 2004. At our dacha I used to run around and gobble up peas, build tree forts but rather on our high fence, birdwatch, and listen to a lot of music, which suspiciously happened to be quite guitar driven, I must say. Krekers, The Hush Sound, The Fratellis. Later I was ready to turn 10 years old with what was already my third guitar, at hand. Yes, I started playing when I was more than 9. I was 9 and two thirds. I came to a music studio for my first lesson with an old Soviet guitar, one string missing. It's the one I took from my other grandparents. I learned a few common chords to play simple songs and reckoned "that'll do" for nearly 3 years following. Until Buddy Guy appeared in my playlist. I picked up an electric."

Max Ostro was invited to participate in the first D'Addario Guitar Festival 2018 (part of the NAMM Musikmesse Russia music exhibition which takes place every September in Moscow) by Julia Rynkova, D'Addario representative in Russia. There he was also noticed by Ibanez Guitars.

The biggest influences on Max Ostro's guitar playing style are Nick Johnston, Guthrie Govan, Shawn Lane, Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons, Frank Gambale, Chris Buck, Greg Howe, Jack Gardiner, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal, Robben Ford, Bireli Lagrene, Armik and others.
